Plop.ie is a platform where people can help people to help people. Through video competitions, your support can make a difference, you choose the weekly winner.

It's a place to share your creativity, connect with others, and contribute to meaningful projects.

If you're a winner, you get a cash prize that could change your day, week, month, year or even your life!

Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes to a charity, group, or community project of your choice.

How do I participate?

Joining is easy! Register, log in, upload your video, and start voting. Every vote counts and helps create ripples of change.

How does the voting system work?

Voting is simple! Each vote contributes €1 to the prize pool, and the video with the most votes wins. Your vote matters!

What happens if I win?

If your video wins, you'll be notified via email, and your video will be featured on our platform. Celebrate as you want!

How can I support a charity, group, or community project?

You have an opportunity to nominate a charity, one time per draw period. This nomination adds the charity to the list to be selected when a winner is determined, and the amount donated is directly linked to the amount of votes in a draw so the more votes your video gets, the more money goes to the charity!

How does the €2 break down?

Full transparency on where every cent goes:

• €1.00 → Prize Pool (goes directly to the winner)
• €0.40 → Payment Processing (Stripe fees—unavoidable)
• €0.40 → Charity (Users nominate who receives this and it's chosen from the winner's county)
• €0.20 → Operating Costs (keeps Plop running)

Example: If 200 people cast a vote, that's a €200 prize pool for the winner, plus €80 to the chosen charity. Your €2 becomes something meaningful.

When does the draw happen?

Every Tuesday at 9:15 PM (Irish time). Voting closes, votes are tallied, winner announced. The next draw starts on Wednesday at 9:15 AM.

This gives you the whole week to:

• Upload your video (if you want to enter)
• Watch other people's videos
• Decide who you want to support
• Cast your vote

Why was my photo taken?

Short answer: To keep the community real and trustworthy.

Longer answer: Plop is built on the principle that real people help real people. The camera photo serves several purposes:

• Anti-bot protection – Prevents automated fake accounts
• No catfishing – Ensures authenticity (no fake profiles)
• Current photos – Keeps profiles up-to-date (no 10-year-old pics)
• Trust and safety – Makes everyone feel safer knowing others are genuine
• You can always upload your own photo if you're not happy with the snapshot
